"Before Sunup"

15" x 30" Oil on Linen

Another of my relatively early painting.  And speaking of early work, this was the normal start of the day for ranch hands in most of the cowboy communities.  There was a buncha work to do just to get ready for the day and arrive at this point.  A good part of the preparation time was spent catching the horse and getting a saddle on and cinched down.  Never mind having to get on and convince the knot-head that he was going to cooperate - so settle down and accept your fate, you danged, hard-headed, four legged bag of crow bait.

Atsa'boy!  You're Good horse!
