Native American people had the blessings of a symbiotic relationship with the world around them insofar as nature and the Earth were concerned.  They had a deep and abiding reverence for and trust in the animals from which they drew their commissary as well as the natural forces that guided their movements.  Hardly anything in life was attempted or experienced without the prayerful consultation with or appeal to the spirits that guided the passage of all events, fates, or time itself.
