This is a North Idaho Scene and features two men of the Kootenai Tribe who lived and hunted in the area of the present Idaho panhandle and extreme Northwest Montana.  They have been successful in their hunt and have brought a deer across the lake in a wood-frame hide covered canoe of unique Kootenai design.
