I painted this in Gouache, an opaque watercolor medium that I started to hate and then grew to love.  I painted this as if I had been standing just across the spring water and I shouted,

"Hey!   Look over here!"

And by dang he did. 

Now in real life I would probably have been shot and just left.  The nice thing is that "Artists License" allows a lot of fantasy.   He is wearing a beaver fur cap and a blanket coat or "Capote" torn from a 4 point black stripe on red Hudson's Bay Blanket.
