"Nomads of the Plains"
16" x 20" Oil on Linen
The dictionary defines "nomads" as those who wander from place to place without a permanent home. The reasons for this footloose lifestyle were pasturage, seasonal changes, food, and safety as the most important. It was the hunter gatherers who lived the nomadic life since the herds moved and they had to move with them. They developed a compete and rich culture with unique approaches to life, religion, and survival. |
