There are a lot of ranches in Idaho and the high country is no exception.  There are ranches for sheep, ranches for cattle, and ranches for "dudes."  All are hard work and require long hours against constant surprises from nature and the markets.  Some are single family operations, some have many hands, and others are run by corporations.  I found that most every person running a ranch is worthwhile to know.
