"The Creak of Cold Leather"
12" x 24" Oil on Linen
The curtains are down on the windows to keep the passengers from the cold breeze blowing into the valley. In an hour they will be unloaded and directed to the hotel for food and bed. The horses will be unhitched, stabled, combed and fed. The driver and shotgun will retire to the saloon to put some anti-freeze into their systems. Next morning at sunup after breakfast, everything is done in reverse order. Except the saloon part - I guess. |
