Some of the qualities of the Southwest I most love and remember best are the array of complimentary colors spread out across the deserts and canyons that can make the scene vibrate in the eyes.  The brilliance of and warmth in the sandstone and rock splashed against the cool blues and purples of shadow and sky are an artists dream setup. 

These Apache trackers have lived and roamed these regions for so long that they instantly recognize anything that has changed ever so slightly or is not a product of nature.  They can read a set of tracks and get more about the person or animal that left them than the rest of us could ever hope to, assuming of course, that we would even notice.  It is a talent honed with long experience and good senses.
