This painting represents one of the very first pieces I painted in the little three room cabin the first winter we were in Obsidian, Idaho.  It is from a photo slide taken sometime earlier and reflects the incredible beauty of the Sawtooth Mountain area.  The mountain rising from the morning fog is actually inside the boundaries of the Sawtooth Wilderness.  Every day and every season revealed a sometimes powerful and other times delicate beauty that could take your breath away.
